No. Beginners are more than welcome. We offer classes and structure specifically for brand new members with no experience. Our BJJ White Belt Only program is curriculum based, creating a strong foundation that has been taught and adjusted with thousands of students.

Not initially, however a uniform is necessary for a multitude of reasons including maintaining standard with participation of most classes. We include a free uniform with our trial membership, and offer training gear at fair prices.

We do not offer such an option. Anthem is a family owned business for families, and while we are very understanding and reasonable when it comes to cost, all members who train are on a 12 month agreement, or paid in full membership, to create security and stability for the students and business. These agreements have 60 day cancelation policies, freeze allowances, and simple criteria that are all explained before committing.

No. The only thing in between you and training consistently at standard is yourself. We can accommodate, as well as have experience leading an array of students.

Etiquette

Please ensure the following measures are taken:

If you are more than 10 minutes late to class, you will not be able to attend.

Check in upon entering the academy via kiosk at the front desk.

Only coaches may coach.

HYGIENE

Please ensure the following measures are taken:

Wash if required before class

Trim all your nails and keep them short

Do NOT train with open cuts

Do NOT train with any skin infections

Do NOT train with an exposed piercing

Train in clean training wear

NO bare feet off the mat, and no footwear on the mat.

UNIFORM

Please ensure the following measures are taken:

No pockets on any item of clothing

No zippers on any item of clothing

No metal parts of any kind

No rips or holes

No jewelry

No stains or smell issues

Minimum of 2 layers to be worn at all times (underwear and Gi bottoms, underwear and spats/shorts)

Gi top and bottom must match in color

Not only is it a priority to us to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your time at Anthem, but we want to make sure we are comfortable and enjoy our time with you. We have all members with no experience after their free class sign up for a 30 day trial, giving them a month to train as much as they like and see if it is a good fit, we even include a free uniform.
